Diego starts every morning by opening My Day (/my-day). In one view he sees the equipment-inspection process run his supervisor kicked off for him, the three tasks he has due today across two different projects, and a reminder to complete his quarterly self-review. It takes him 43 seconds to triage what needs immediate attention versus what can wait.
This guide covers each section of My Day and how to act on what appears there.
Before you start
- My Day is available to every workspace member regardless of role.
- Process runs appear here only if the Process module is enabled and at least one step in an active run is assigned to you.
- Tasks due today or overdue appear here only if the Execution module is enabled and you own tasks with due dates.
- The self-review button appears only if you have a profile in the People directory.
The process runs section
The Process runs section lists every process run currently In progress where at least one step is assigned to you. Each row shows:
- The process title and version number
- How many steps are complete out of the total (e.g. "3/7 steps complete")
- How long the run has been active (elapsed time)
Click any row to go directly to the run page at /process/runs/<id> where you can complete your assigned steps, view the full step list, and see what the next operator in the chain needs to do.
If you have no in-progress runs assigned to you, the section shows "No process runs assigned to you right now."
The tasks section
The Tasks due today or overdue section shows every execution task you own with a due date falling on or before today. Each row shows:
- Task title
- The project it belongs to (if any) — click the project name to jump to that project
- Priority badge (Low, Normal, High, Urgent)
- Due date
Click any row to open the task at /execution/tasks/<id>.
Tasks are drawn from all projects you have access to. A task that is due today will appear here even if it falls at 11:59 PM — the cutoff is end-of-day, not the current time.
If everything is on track, the section shows "No tasks due today or overdue."
The empty state
When both sections have nothing to show, My Day displays "Caught up. Nothing on your day." — a genuine empty state, not a placeholder. Bayou & Co.'s Mei Lin sees this most Fridays and uses it as a signal to check the Approvals inbox and the My Training page for anything pending there.
Role-fit self-review
If you have a People profile, a Self review button appears in the top-right corner of My Day. Click it to open the role-fit self-review dialog.
The dialog asks you to rate yourself across the quadrant dimensions for your current role seat. The review is submitted to the People module and visible to your managers at People → Role-fit reviews.
The button is always available — it is not a timed prompt or a banner that appears on a schedule. Northwoods Outfitters' practice is to complete a self-review at the end of each quarter as part of their check-in rhythm.
Tips
- My Day does not auto-refresh while the page is open. If a run is assigned to you mid-session, reload the page to see it.
- To see a broader view of your workload — tasks not yet due, upcoming process templates, or training due next week — use the individual module pages (Process → Runs, Execution → Tasks, Training → My Training).
- If you expect a process run to appear and it doesn't, confirm with the run's owner that at least one of your assigned steps hasn't been re-assigned to someone else.
