After a guest's facial appointment at Bayou & Co., front-desk member Diego opens the client's contact page and logs the visit before the next guest checks in. The entry appears in the contact's activity timeline and is immediately visible on the Visits page for the team's weekly review.
Here's how to do the same.
Before you start
- You need admin, owner, or advisor role to log activity entries — contributor can view activities but not create them (
crm.activities.readonly, notcrm.activities.manage). - Visit entries can be logged in any CRM mode (B2B, B2C, or Both). The dedicated Visit History sidebar panel on a contact's detail page is only shown in B2C mode, but the underlying activity record is always created the same way.
- The Visits page (
/crm/visits) is hidden in pure B2B mode — it shows an empty state with a link to module settings if your workspace is configured for B2B only.
Step 1: Open the contact's detail page
Click CRM → Contacts in the sidebar. Find the contact in the list — use the search field to filter by name or email if you have more than 50 contacts. Click the contact's row to open their detail page.
Step 2: Find the Activity section
Scroll down the contact detail page to the Activity card. In B2C mode, a Visit History card appears above it showing only visit-type entries — either card lets you log new activity.
Step 3: Select "Visit" as the activity type
In the activity log form, the type selector defaults to Note. Click it and choose Visit from the dropdown. The available types are: Note, Call, Email, Meeting, and Visit.
Step 4: Fill in the visit details
The form accepts:
- Body (required) — describe the visit. For example: "Hydrafacial — 60 min" or "Annual checkup appointment"
- Date — defaults to today. Adjust if you're logging a past visit.
Click the add button to save the entry.
Step 5: Review the visit
The new activity entry appears immediately in the Activity timeline on the contact's page. In B2C mode it also shows in the Visit History card above.
To see visits across all contacts, click CRM → Visits in the sidebar (/crm/visits). The Visits page shows a filterable table of all visit-type activities with:
- Date range filters (defaults to the last 30 days)
- Status filter — Booked, Completed, Cancelled, No-show (statuses apply to records synced from integrated booking systems; manually-logged visits may not carry a status)
- Search by contact name or service description
Click any row in the Visits table to open a detail dialog showing the full visit record, duration, contact link, and integration source if applicable.
What to do next
If your workspace uses a booking integration such as Zenoti, visit records may sync automatically and appear here without manual entry. Synced and manually-created visits look identical in the list.
