SPLX OS uses plain, neutral names for the things a team does every week. This page defines each one in a sentence or two and points you to the place in the app where it lives. If a word here does not match how your company talks — you say "Huddle", not "Stand Up" — you can change it; see Renaming terms for your workspace at the end.
Examples use fictional companies: Northwoods Outfitters and Bayou & Co.
Meetings (Rhythm)
Stand Up — A short, usually daily, meeting run from a board with lanes such as Operations or Sales. Each lane shows its open issues so the team sees what is red at a glance. Find it under Rhythm → Stand Up. See How to run your first Stand Up session.
Weekly meeting / Team Sync — The structured weekly leadership meeting. A session walks through segments: check-in, scorecard, priorities, updates, tasks, problem solving, and wrap-up. Find it under Rhythm → Team Sync. See How to run your first weekly meeting.
Series — A recurring schedule that generates Team Sync sessions automatically, with a default facilitator and agenda. See How to schedule a recurring Team Sync.
Segment — One timed block of a Team Sync agenda, such as Scorecard or Problem solving.
One on One — A private recurring conversation between two people, with its own agenda and notes. Found under Rhythm → One on One.
Business Review — A longer periodic review session, run from its own series under Rhythm → Business Review. See How to run a quarterly business review.
Strategy
Vision, Mission, and Core Values — The three statements that describe where the company is going, why it exists, and the principles its people are expected to live by. Core Values are the short list of behaviours you hire, review, and recognise people against. Find them under Strategy → Vision, Mission, Values. See How to define your company's core values.
Annual Plan — The goals and targets for the year. Each goal can be tracked through the year and broken into Quarterly Priorities. Find it under Strategy → Annual Plan.
Quarterly Priorities — The handful of important things the company commits to finishing this quarter, each with an owner and a status: on track, at risk, off track, done, or missed. They are reviewed in every weekly meeting. Find them under Strategy → Quarterly Priorities. See How to set a quarterly priority.
Scorecard — A table of the numbers the company watches, each with an owner, a target, and a history. A metric that misses its target shows red. Find it under Strategy → Scorecard. See How to build a scorecard metric.
Metric — A single measurable number on the Scorecard, such as on-time delivery at 94%.
One-Page Plan — A single-page summary of vision, mission, and plan that can be exported as a PDF. See How to export the one-page plan as a PDF.
SWOT — A structured list of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. See How to run a SWOT analysis.
Execution
Project — A body of work with a goal, members, tasks, and milestones. See How to create your first project.
Task — A single piece of work with an owner and, optionally, a due date.
Milestone — A dated checkpoint inside a project.
Idea — A suggestion anyone can submit, which can later be promoted into a project or task. See How to promote an idea.
Problem — Something in the way that needs to be solved. Problems can be raised from the Execution module or during a Team Sync.
Lesson (Lessons Learned) — A recorded takeaway from a project or incident so the team does not repeat the mistake.
People
Role fit — A structured review of how well a person suits their current role. Each review ends with one of four overall ratings:
- Aligned — fits the role and lives the values.
- Role mismatch — lives the values but is in the wrong role.
- Values mismatch — right role, but the values do not match.
- Developing — too early to tell; give it time.
Role fit reviews live under People → Role Fit.
Pulse survey — A short survey sent to the team to take its temperature. See How to launch a pulse survey.
Org chart — The map of departments and who sits where. See How to build your org chart via departments.
Process
Process (SOP) — A written procedure, built from steps, that your team follows the same way every time. A run is one execution of a process, worked through as a checklist. See How to write your first SOP.
Workspace and access
Workspace — Your company's private space in SPLX OS, with its own people, data, and settings.
Module — A functional area such as Execution, CRM, Strategy, People, Rhythm, or Process. Admins turn modules on or off under Settings → Modules.
Roles — The access levels in a workspace. Owner holds the workspace and always has at least one person. Admin manages settings, people, and modules. Contributor does day-to-day work. Advisor is an outside consultant or coach invited into the workspace; advisors do not count toward the paid seat total. See Admin: your first week and Advisor: engagement checklist.
Renaming terms for your workspace
Terminology is renameable per workspace. Open Settings → Terminology (/settings/terminology), type your word into any field, and select Save labels. Clearing a field returns it to the default. Custom labels apply to navigation, page headers, and curated content.
These labels can be renamed:
- Module names: Rhythm, Execution, CRM, Strategy, People, Process.
- Rhythm: Stand Up, Team Sync, One on One, Business Review.
- Strategy: Scorecard, Quarterly Priorities, Annual Goals.
- CRM: Pipeline, Deal, Contact, Denied Claim.
- Execution: Project, Task.
Terms not in that list, such as the role-fit ratings, keep their standard names. Anyone who manages the workspace's settings can change terminology.
